Mini Panthers U4(2022)-U8(2018)
What is the CDMP?
- The CDMP (Mini-Panthers Development Centre) is the name used for the NDG-CDN player pre-training programs. This program includes children born between 2018 and 2022.
The main objectives and values of the program are:
- Technical development of children through fun and engaging activities;
- Motor development of children through high movement time and activities that are not always directly related to soccer;
- Fun, fun, fun! Making sure the children have fun and want to come back to play!
- The CDMP also aims to develop a sense of belonging to the club, which is why the children will be involved in training with children who are not necessarily on their team.
At the end of the summer, the NDG-CDN club will host an end-of-season festival for the program's athletes; the date is yet to be confirmed.
Program content
In the CDMP, athletes will be involved in fairly basic activities, focused on the development areas of Soccer Québec and Soccer Canada.
The program is staffed by a club program manager, young club coaches beginning their training, and parent volunteers available to assist with the children's supervision.*
The types of activities that can be found in the CDMP are as follows:
- Technical Activity: Activities aimed purely at helping young people develop technical skills related to soccer.
- Motor Skills Activity: Activities aimed at teaching young people how to move properly and improve their motor skills using specific instructions or external equipment.
- Free Match Activity: Activities where children are encouraged to play freely and develop through trial and error. Young people are encouraged to try things freely, without instructions, and to apply what they have learned.
- Themed Match Activity: For the older players in the program, coaches and staff will sometimes provide specific instructions to prepare them for the transition to the next program.
