Soccer for Everyone: The Lions Adaptive Soccer Program returns to NDG!

Program Details


Duration: One 90-minute session per week for 10 weeks, starting beginning of June
Time: TBD
Location: in NDG (exact location to be confirmed)
Participation Outcomes:
Soccer Skills: Passing, dribbling, shooting
Other Benefits: Improving fitness (e.g., endurance, strength, agility, speed), gaining
emotional regulation, increasing self-esteem, promoting fair play and teamwork

Coaching Ratio: Minimum of 1 coach per 2 youths
Coaching Team: Qualified soccer coaches and/or special needs educators
Program Lead: Michel Mazloum, experienced soccer coach with expertise in Special Education

Cost & Equipment

Program Fee: $85
Additional Fees: $51 annual charge total for player affiliation with Soccer Canada, Soccer Quebec, and Soccer Montreal
Included: Team jersey, shorts, and socks
Required: Parents must purchase shin guards, soccer cleats (recommended) and sports glasses
(if needed)

Registration Process

1.     Fill out the Lions Interest form by April 4, 2025.
2.     Meet the Coach: One parent will accompany their child for a 15-20 minute one-on-one
meeting with Head Coach, Michel Mazloum, in April. Watch for an email confirming your meeting
details.
3.     Official Registration: Following the meeting, you will receive a link to complete the registration and
make the payment.
4.     Limited Spots Available: Space is limited for this pilot program. If we cannot accommodate your
child this year, they will remain on the waitlist for future opportunities.
